Linear Motor
The up ramp portion of the TriTrack guideway is powered by a built-in linear motor. A linear motor is made up of a series of coils. When electricity is run through these coils, they create a magnetic field that interacts with magnets built into the TriTrack car body. This interaction creates the force that accelerates the car to 180 mph. |
